Best known for its community services for seniors, youth, low-income families and adults with disabilities, Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center (BHNC) is also an award-winning community based affordable housing developer with decades of experience in the preservation, production and protection of San Francisco’s housing space. Serving over 3,000 San Franciscans annually, we rely on grants and donations to serve the community and residents of our housing sites.  BHNC’s Theory of Change holds that when residents are secure in their housing, neighborhood and community, they may safeguard their health, employment, food, education and basic needs.
