Community Congress

Neighbors, ideas, energy — and a shared commitment to move things forward.  We’ll share and prioritize next steps, building a plan that reflects all of us. You don’t have to have all the answers.  Just come be part of it.

Annual Events

BHNC Community Congress

Community Congress

Community Congress is our annual membership meeting, usually hosted in May. There are a series of workshops around public safety and the development of the neighborhood. BHNC members have a chance to give their input for what they would like to see in the upcoming year through interactive breakout groups.

Fiesta on the Hill

Fiesta on the Hill

Fiesta on the Hill is BHNC’s biggest fundraiser of the year and a celebration of our wonderful Bernal Heights community. The event is family-friendly and features activities for everyone, including face painting, arts and crafts, community resources, and much more.

Hillwide Garage Sale

Hillwide is our annual community garage sale fundraiser in August. Neighbors register to be on the garage sale map by donating to BHNC. Once on the map, others that attend are notified and shown how to get to their sale. Hundreds attend this event every year, some even fly out of state. On average, 100 homes have garage sales. This is one of our most anticipated community events.
