Community Engagement Committee
The Community Engagement Committee (CEC) is a monthly gathering where residents, community partners, and local leaders come together to discuss neighborhood priorities and work toward solutions that strengthen Bernal Heights and the surrounding communities.
CEC meetings create a space for community members to share perspectives, identify emerging needs, and collaborate on initiatives that improve quality of life for our neighbors.
As we move forward, the CEC will continue to strengthen these core areas while expanding conversations based on community input. Through ongoing dialogue, community surveys, and partnerships, the CEC helps shape priorities and organize collective action to ensure our neighborhood remains resilient, inclusive, and thriving.
Key topics often include:
- Affordable housing and housing stability
- Senior inclusion and support for aging residents
- Community safety and neighborhood wellbeing
- Protecting vulnerable community members
- Youth opportunities and programs
- Supporting local small businesses and economic vitality
